Ride Marmotte Granfondo Pyrénées – Your New Favourite Sportive
Recently, Flora and Martin took on the challenging yet majestic sportive of Marmotte Granfondo Pyrénées.
Set in the Pyrénées mountain range, the sportive is a distance of 165 kms and involves 5,500m of climbing. Some of the gradients reach 13%!

You can see us at the start line in Luz Saint Sauveur. The first col we’ll ride is col du Tourmalet (2,115m).
After, col du Tourmalet (2,115m) you quickly discover the beautiful Hourquette d’Ancizan (1,564m) and famous col d’Aspin (1,489m) before revisiting the col du Tourmalet, this time from Saint Marie de Campan. The finale is the tough ride of Luz Ardiden (1,686m). Many of these cols you have probably seen in the Tour de France or Vuelta.

As with all our sportives, you will receive the SportActive magic you have come to know and love. This includes:
- Registration into the sportive
- As much support as the event organisers allow. This will be similar to Marmotte Alps
- Backup cars carrying your personal items, spares, and supplies
- Pre-event information meeting including sportive strategy and how to approach the tougher parts of the ride

Marmotte Pyrénées is arguably just as hard as Marmotte Alps. The climbing is just as intense and like its cousin, the scenery is just as spectacular.
