Beaches, Shopping and Nightlife
Two hundred metres from your hotel you will find a beautiful golden beach, where you will be greeted by the sea air and breeze. The blue Mediterranean Sea stretches as far as your eye can see. You will also be in the heart of Mallorca’s shopping and nightlife districts.
After a day on the road why not wind down with a massage, spa or swim?
Why not relax those tired muscles with a hotel sports massage. Or go for a spa or a swim in one of the three hotel pools? Let’s not forget the after-ride walk on the beach.
No need to transport your Bike
Don’t take your bike on a plane, hire one of ours. Our bike mechanic keeps them on the road, and our bike shop sells everything you could ever need for a fantastic cycling holiday.

Cycling Legend Sean Kelly will be joining us
Sean Kelly will be joining SportActive on selected cycling weeks. (Almost all of April and 2 weeks in October, exact dates to be confirmed). This will be your chance to ride alongside the Legend. Sean will ride with all groups and will be staying at the SportActive Cycling Centre hotel with our clients and will be on hand during the week to chat about his experience at the top level of international cycling.

Your Leisure Cycling Holiday is Feature Packed with SportActive. It includes:
- Exclusivity. We don't allow external cyclists joining the group rides.
- Everything will be taken care of from the moment you arrive in Palma de Mallorca airport to the moment you get back to the airport.
- Airport transfers with shuttle bus are included in the indicated package price; for more comfort you can also request private airport transfers.
- Half board in Hotel Zafiro Tropic **** or Hotel Zafiro Palace***** for the number of nights you chose. Different room options are available
- Hire one of our high quality road bikes or bring your own. We do have bikes with straight bars as well.
- 5 guided group rides/week in ability groups. Group rides Sunday to Friday; Wednesday is rest day; Saturday regular change over day
- Bike garage & shop with secure bike storage. Energy bars, gels, drinks for sale as well as SportActive cycling kit
- All SportActive guests stay in the same hotel as a big family and we have reserved tables in the hotel restaurant allowing to meet for the meals ; this makes the trip very enjoyable also for solo travellers
- The SportActive notice board in the hotel foyer informs you daily about next day's group rides: group leaders, distances, lunch stop, destination of the rides
- As a SportActive guest you have exclusivity of our services and exclusivity to ride with Cycling Legend Sean Kelly in Mallorca. We do not allow external cyclists to join our group rides.

Leisure Cycling Holiday Location
Your Cycling Holiday is located on the Balearic island of Mallorca, belonging to Spain. Mallorca is known as the Paradise for cyclists due to its weather conditions, smoth traffic free roads, mountain climbs, flat-undulating roads making it the ideal place of all types of cyclists and training needs. Puerto Alcùdia, our base, is situated on the north coast, the most picturesque part of Mallorca.
Leisure Cycling Holiday Profile
5 structured rides/week in ability groups.
Depending on numbers, we run up to 3 different groups. In the SportActive Cycling Centre you will meet very experienced cyclists, here for training, more relaxed groups for a leisure holiday and also beginners. The groups never exceed 14-15 riders. You will never see a SportActive group of 20 people or more on the road.
Pace of the Leisure Group: 3-5 hours per day
Lunch stop in a local bar plus one or two coffee stops; number of stops depending on the group.
Daily distance of the Leisure Group, in km: Depending on the ability of the group; we start with 30 or 40 km and build up to 50 km, 60 km or even a little more. The road surface is smooth in Mallorca. This means that with the effort you need in the UK or Ireland to cycle 40 km, you'll do 60 in Mallorca. You will be surprised how long you can go on Mallorca's smooth roads. If the group is up for it we'll increase a little the distances indicated in the graph but without overstressing you.

October is like summer in Mallorca with temperatures around 25-27°C! This is warmer than most summer days in Ireland or the UK. The Mediterranean Sea is still warm after the hot summer months and a post ride swim is the perfect end to the day.

This was my first cycle holiday with SportActive and it exceeded all expectations.
If there is such a place as "Cycle Heaven" then I think I just experienced it. Sportactive's organisation and customer care is second to none and I was so well looked after, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left.
The equipment was first class, and Martin's careful bike fit and Steve's maintenance during the week made for a comfy ride. I learned a lot from Derek and Alfonso and my technique has greatly improved.
The routes were stunning and achieved a perfect balance of enjoyment and challenge. Flora was always on hand to deal with any questions and her warm-down exercise sessions were very helpful. It was a real treat to meet Sean Kelly and cycle with him on the last couple of days.
